Aspire Fellowship
Program
Empowering the next generation of leaders through hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world opportunity.
Here’s how it works
Over the course of our comprehensive 16 week program, Fellows complete a structured skill development curriculum while applying what they learn through a community engagement project.
Throughout the fellowship, participants receive mentorship, professional development, and hands on experience. By the end of the program, Fellows leave with strengthened leadership abilities, refined professional skills, and meaningful relationships that support their long term growth.
Skill Development Course
Fellows spend two weeks focused on each core skill, guided by experienced facilitators and supported by our interactive Life Skills curriculum. The program is intentionally structured to maximize growth while reinforcing practical professional competencies such as communication, collaboration, time management, and critical thinking.
The foundation of the fellowship centers on the Aspire Skillset, which is comprised of seven essential skill areas:
Self Development
Builds self-awareness, discipline, and habits that support personal and professional growth.
Interpersonal Skills
Strengthens communication, relationship building, and teamwork in professional and community settings.
Organizational Skills
Develops systems for managing time, priorities, and responsibilities effectively.
Personal Finance
Introduces budgeting, credit, debt management, and financial decision-making fundamentals.
Global Awareness
Encourages media literacy, cultural awareness, and informed engagement with diverse perspectives.
Problem Solving
Equips Fellows to analyze challenges, think critically, and implement practical solutions.
Leadership Skills
Prepares Fellows to lead with confidence, accountability, and integrity in a variety of environments.
Community Engagement Project (CEP)
In addition to completing the skill development course, Fellows design and implement a community engagement project.
Each Fellow selects a focus area aligned with their interests and applies the skills learned throughout the program to create measurable impact within their community.
The CEP challenges Fellows to think strategically, engage stakeholders, and execute a project from concept to completion. By the end of the experience, participants gain not only leadership confidence but also a tangible portfolio project that demonstrates initiative and real-world impact.
Professional Mentorship
A defining feature of the Aspire Fellowship is our emphasis on professional mentorship.
Every Fellow is paired with a mentor through the Aspire Skill Development peer mentorship program, receiving guidance during and beyond the 16-week experience.
Our mentors are Aspire alumni and experienced professionals who provide insight, accountability, and career guidance. This relationship helps Fellows navigate academic decisions, career planning, and personal growth with greater clarity and confidence.
